Former Sea Org members Gawain Baxter, Laura Baxter, and Valeska Paris have filed a US Federal lawsuit against David Miscavige, the Church of Scientology, and other Church entities alleging human trafficking. The plaintiffs have sued pursuant to the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (“TVPRA”), 18 U.S.C. §§1581-1597.

All three of the plaintiffs were young children when they “joined” the Sea Org. Minors cannot sign contracts but the three signed the Sea Org billion year contract. The three plaintiffs allege isolation of children, coercive control, extreme forms of cruel punishment, and other torts.
The three plaintiffs all served aboard Scientology’s notorious MV Freewinds, a private vessel that has been used by the Scientology Cult to imprison members. The ship is also infamous for hapless public Scientologists being trapped aboard where they cannot escape being hectored for large sums of money, often for days at a time, from the various Scientology entities that have offices aboard the vessel.
That the Church of Scientology has used child labor for decades is an utter disgrace and serves as an indictment of its inhumanity and brutality.
